10 Best Cheap Web Hosting For Small Business (Cheapest to Most Expensive)
If you’ve decided to start your own online business or blog and you’re looking for cheap web hosting for you small business – to mitigate some of the initial costs – you’re in the right place.
In this article I’m going to introduce you to the 10 best companies offering cheap web hosting for small business.
The companies I will recommend are not companies that you will… “pull your hair out” if you decide to go with any of them.
On the contrary, they are among the most popular hosting companies around the world, with thousands of websites on their servers and serious customer support.
Personally, I’ve bought web hosting plans from almost all the companies I recommend in my 9 year – so far – blogging career and I feel comfortable recommending them.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: What you need to know about cheap web hosting.
Before we go to the companies that offer cheap web hosting I need to make sure you know what cheap web hosting means.
Cheap web hosting, usually, does not mean good web hosting.
But what does “good” mean? I’ll explain in simple terms.
It means that, when your website starts to become popular and get more traffic, you will have to go to a more expensive hosting package because the resources of the server provided by the hosting provider will not cover the needs of your website.
It also means that your website will not be the fastest in the world because (again) the resources provided by the hosting provider for the package you bought will not be enough.
It means that the server that your website is on will have a thousand other websites that if any of them show any problems – it will probably affect your website as well. Don’t lose it or anything like that… Don’t get your mind out of the gutter. It might just become too slow or the server might be down for a few minutes, etc.
The reason why cheap web hosting is not that good is because there is a huge competition in the hosting sector, the hosting providers, try to offer cheap hosting packages to be able to compete and attract customers (newbies) who are looking for cheap hosting.
Of course, if you are a beginner and are just entering the world of blogging, I recommend going with the cheapest web hosting and as your needs grow, increase the hosting package.
Now that we’ve cleared that up, let’s take a look at the best companies offering cheap web hosting.
Companies that offer cheap web hosting
I have ranked the following companies from the cheapest to the most expensive. Note that all the companies I list below have their expensive packages.
I have ranked them based on the cheapest package I could find for the duration of one year.
Company | Hosting Plan | Cost For 1 Year |
---|---|---|
HostSailor | Leviathan SSD Hosting | $11.40 |
EasyWP | Managed Starter | $24.88 |
MochaHost | Soho Shared | $30.60 |
Hostgator | Hatchling Plan | $33.00 |
Bluehost | Shared Basic | $33.00 |
FastComet | FastCloud | $35.40 |
Hostinger | Single Shared | $41.88 |
SiteGround | Startup Shared | $47.88 |
GreenGeeks | Web Hosting Lite | $59.40 |
ScalaHosting | Web Hosting Mini | $83.40 |
HostSailor – $11.40/year
Yes, for about 10 dollars per year you can rent space on a server to host your website.
HostSailor is a “new” company in the web hosting business but with very good reviews, many hosting options and above all low prices.
They are the company with the lowest web hosting package as you can choose Leviathan SSD Hosting for only €10.91 per year.
Don’t expect anything special in terms of allocating resources to your website. This hosting is only good for static pages that you don’t expect to have a lot of traffic.
Of course – as I mentioned before – you can start with this package and level up along the way.
With Leviathan SSD Hosting you get:
EasyWP – €24.88/year
EasyWP is a company created by Namecheap – one of the largest domain name registrars in the world.
It allows you to create a blog for free and is also the cheapest web hosting company on this list – for one year.
Specifically the Managed WordPress package for 12 months costs €24.88 only and the main features you get with this package are:
*If you choose the Turbo hosting plan at $49/year, you’ll get a free SSL certificate for one year, a free domain for one year and free CDN.
Mochahost – $30.60/year
MochaHost is not one of the well-known web hosting companies, but it is definitely one of the cheapest.
Although their website needs a serious redesign (it looks a bit decadent) they are reliable in their field with very low prices.
The cheapest web hosting package is SoHo Shared at €30.06 per year. With this you get:
HostGator – $33/year
HostGator is – perhaps – the second largest hosting website in the world – after Bluehost.
HostGator was the first web hosting company I used in my life. The reason I had changed my website hosting provider back then (in 2105 I think), was because it was starting to receive a few thousand visitors a month and the resources provided by my plan were not enough.
I remember I was angry with HostGator and looked for other, equally cheap Hosting with more resources. Of course, I was “new” to Hosting and didn’t understand the differences between the different types of Hosting.
💡 By the way, HostGator and Bluehost are members of the same organization – namely Newfold Digital Inc.
The Hatchling Plan for 12 months costs $33 only and its main features are:
BlueHost – $33.00/year
Bluehost is the largest web hosting company in the world. According to their website, they host over 2 million websites on their servers.
The Shared Hosting Basic WordPress website hosting package costs $33.00 for12 months* and the main features you will receive are:
*Price is for the first 12 months. After that your plan will renew at the normal price at around $10 per month or $120 per year.
FastComet – $35.40/year
With over 370,000 websites hosted on its servers, FastComet is one of the largest and most serious in the industry.
The cheapest web hosting package they have is FastCloud (nothing to do with cloud though – it’s shared hosting) at $35.40/year and this includes – among other things – the following:
Hostinger – $41.88/year
Hostinger is one of the largest and most innovative Hosting companies in the world and one of my favourites.
Hostinger is extremely user friendly, have one of the best support teams in the world (probably) and the email interface you get for your business is 10 times better than the usual webmail interfaces you get with other hosting providers.
Specifically the Single Shared Hosting package for 12 months costs $41.88* only and the main features you will get with this package are:
*Use the exclusive coupon “BNBOT7” during check out to get an additional 7% discount on any web hosting package you choose.
*Price is for the first 12 months. After that your plan will renew at the normal price at around $6 per month or $72 / year.
Siteground – $47.88/year
The web hosting company SiteGround is known to offer the fastest web hosting packages – despite the relatively low prices of its packages.
This company is one of the best in the world, with millions of customers and serious customer service. That is, so good that if I wrote a guide to the hosting companies with the best support system, this one would be first (Hostinger would be the second).
The cheapest web hosting package is “Startup” at $47.88 per year and offers among others:
GreenGeeks – $59.40/year
GreenGeeks is the first hosting company in the world to introduce the term green-hosting as its differentiation from other companies in the industry is that all its energy consumption needs are covered by renewable energy sources.
The cheapest package available is the “Lite” at $59.40 per year. This package offers:
Scala Hosting – $83.40/year
Scala Hosting is the most expensive of the cheap hosting companies which offers much more with its cheap web hosting than the other companies on this list.
In particular, with their Mini plan at $83.40 per year you get among others:
